Baja California Whale Watching ADVENTURE

Experience the best whale watching in Baja California

Join us whale watching in Baja California’s best-hidden gem! La Ventana is a less visited area than your typical Cabo, La Paz or Todos Santos, yet this small fisherman village has a big personality - and none of the crowds!

Have you ever wanted to see the largest animal to EVER grace the Earth? Or see a 30-ton gentle giant breach its full body out of the water and splash back down?? How about looking eye to eye with some of the largest, most friendly mammals in the world??? Well, lucky for you, you can join us on an adventure in search of eight out of the ten biggest whales in the world! Baja is lucky enough to be home to blue, fin, humpback, grey, sperm, brydes, sei and minke whales! The winter months are the best time to see whales.

When we don’t have enough people for a dedicated La Ventana Whale Watching tour, we will combine our La Ventana Snorkel Tour with the whale watching tour so that we can still get you out to search for marine life. The only real difference between the two tours is that on the whale watching tour, you do not snorkel and you stay in the boat, as you are not allowed to swim with whales in Mexico.

*Please keep in mind that while whale season runs from December to May, sightings are less frequent during the initial and final months of the season. While we can't guarantee whale encounters every time – after all, this is the unpredictability of nature – the thrill of the search is an adventure in itself! Along with whales, we'll also be on the lookout for dolphins, sea lions, and other marine life wonders.

WhAT Animals can you see WHALE WATCHING IN BAJA CALIFORNIA?

The Sea of Cortez wasn’t called the World’s Aquarium by Jacques Cousteau for nothing! Isla Cerralvo is Baja’s most southern Island in the California Gulf, making it a meeting point for megafauna and pelagic fish. On our Whale Watching Baja California tours, every day is a surprise and you can see different marine life throughout each season of the year.

We have amazing wildlife
ALL YEAR ROUND! Below are the main seasons for each animal, but the months either side can still be great - and also they can turn up randomly throughout the year!

* Please note that November to April is the wind season, and September is storm season, so we will have Baja California Whale Watching tours if the weather allows. Some tours may be cancelled last minute which is out of our control.
