OUR STORY

We are not a big corporate tour company—in fact, Baja Wild Encounters began with Jamie, a one-man tour organizer and guide, working with local communities to reduce overfishing and provide sustainable income through tourism.

This commitment remains at the heart of what we do, but with our unexpected growth, our team has grown:

Ana has joined us as our incredible operations manager, and Sofía as our admin and reservations expert, ensuring everything runs smoothly so we can focus on delivering unforgettable experiences for you.

Elias, who started as an enthusiastic intern, has quickly become a key part of our team, receiving praise in many reviews for his infectious personality and deep knowledge of the area and marine life.

Together, we are dedicated to providing you with unique adventures, guided by experts trained by Jamie and who share his passion for nature. Even when Jamie isn’t available, you can trust that you’ll be in capable hands, ready to encounter the bucket-list species you dream of seeing.

Our goal is to show you the true beauty of wildlife, both underwater and on land, in the most ethical and sustainable way possible.

We believe that by helping people understand how these animals live and why they are so crucial to our ecosystems, we can inspire everyone to care for Mother Nature as she cares for us.

We travel in small groups to maximize your experience with the animals while ensuring they are not stressed during interactions.

Thank you, and we can’t wait for you to become a part of the Baja Wild Encounters family!

Meet Jamie, your Tour organiser and Guide

Join the journey of a passionate nature lover and adventure seeker - and probably the most excited person on the boat, even though I’ve seen these animals hundreds of times!!!

Born and raised in England, due to the boredom of my life (and the rain!), I left home in search of new experiences, which led me to uncover the destruction being inflicted on the natural world by human actions.

Driven by a desire to make a positive impact, I became a self-reliant divemaster and nature guide, sharing my love for the world since 2017. With fluency in English, conversational Spanish, and even "Dolphin, Sea Lion, and Whale" (yes, really!), I will share my passion, knowledge and excitement with you!

Join us on an unforgettable adventure, where education meets laughter and a passion for the wild!

I know one person can’t change the world alone, but changing the mindset of many can have a knock-on effect. Together we can protect Mother Nature for future generations.
