Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
Your continued participation in our programs or services constitutes acceptance of any such changes.

  • Upon signing up for a trip, we will require either a deposit or full payment in order to reserve your spot on the trip. The deposit is 50% of the trip paid ahead of time for Day trips and 30% for Expeditions

  • Cash is always preferred due to the remoteness and lack of banks in La Ventana, which makes it difficult for our captains to obtain bank accounts. Therefore, paying your balance in cash would greatly help us.

But... If this is not possible we understand, and offer the following alternatives:

    - Card payment through WeTravel our booking system (+/- 3% fee).
    - Mexican Bank Transfer
    - Wise.com transfer (fees apply and are paid by you as the guest).

    Expedition Payment Schedule:

Payment 1 (Deposit): A 30% initial payment is required to confirm your spot.

Payment 2: another 35% of the final payment is due 90 days before the trip departure date.

Payment 3 (Final Payment): The remaining balance is due 60 days before the trip.

  • Refunds apply only in certain cases due to the logistics involved. To find out if you are eligible for a refund, please read the following information.

    Multi-day Expeditions.

Deposit: The 30% initial payment is non-refundable and non-transferable, as we use these funds to reserve essential services like boats, accommodations, and other amenities crucial to the expedition. However, if the cancellation is made more than 12 months ahead of the trip date, the initial deposit is fully refundable.

Cancelling more than 90 days before the trip: The second payment (Payment 2) is refundable.

Cancelling 90 days or less before the trip: No refunds can be issued for any payments made.

Note: If we manage to resell your spot after a cancellation, we're happy to offer you credit towards another trip with us.

    Single Day Trips.

Cancelling more than 48 hours of the tour start time: We will return 50% of your payment.

Cancelling within 48 hours of the tour: Your payment is non refundable.

If you or anyone in your party cancels within this timeframe of 48 hours for any reason (be it illness, missed transportation, missed alarms, family emergencies, etc.), we are unable to refund any payments or deposits.

We strongly advise that you secure travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may prevent your participation in scheduled tours.

We allow a 15 minute grace period for latecomers on the day of the tour, after which, the boat will depart and you forfeit your deposit.

PLEASE NOTE: We will refund the amount we received. Note that bank conversion rates may vary, and any discrepancies in refund amounts due to these rates or your bank's policies are not our responsibility.

  • We do our absolute best to never have to cancel a trip. However, we do reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time for any reason.

Trip cancellation due to a reason we have control over: You will receive a full refund for all costs paid to us.

Trip cancellation due to an act of god, weather, natural disaster, political upheaval, or any unforeseen issue(s) that are beyond our control: We will work with you to recover costs when possible and/or reschedule a trip if possible.

What happens if we can’t go out to sea because of bad weather conditions?

Sometimes mother nature’s plans may not align with ours and the conditions out at sea are too rough to risk your safety. If this happens and WE say that it’s too rough to go out, the following steps will be taken:

For single-day trips: We will make every effort to arrange an alternative date for your activity within the duration of your trip. If rescheduling proves unfeasible, you have the option to apply your deposit towards a upcoming trip, or you may request a refund.

For Multi-Day Expeditions: often this is out of our control and as we pay for a package ahead of time we can not offer you a partial refund for the missed boat trips. We will always look for an alternative activity that we can do instead of the missed boat trip.

If you choose not to go on the boat because of the conditions, but we think it's safe, kindly note that no refund will be given.

Please note: We are unable to cover any costs you incur should there be any type of cancellation, including flight changes, ticket fees, vacation time, etc. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance.

  • Our priority is to ensure your expedition/tour proceeds as planned. In the event that the minimum required number of participants isn't met, we have a few options available:

Step One: We may offer you the opportunity to cover the cost of the required minimum.

Step two: We will attempt to reschedule your expedition for an available date with a sufficient number of participants.

If neither of these options are feasible: Our next step is to explore the possibility of accommodating more guests to prevent a cancellation e.g. For expeditions we could try to add guests from day trips to join the boat to cover minimum costs required to get the trip off the ground.

If none of the above options work: We will cancel the tour and provide a full refund.

However, it's important to keep in mind that we require expedition participants to have travel insurance as we are unable to cover any expenses arising from cancellations, including flight changes and associated costs.

PLEASE NOTE: We will refund the amount we received. Note that bank conversion rates may vary, and any discrepancies in refund amounts due to these rates or your bank's policies are not our responsibility.

  • For Expeditions:

All participants are required to have insurance for the full duration of being overseas. We ask all participants to submit copies of their medical insurance policies to us before they are officially allowed to join a trip. If you are covered through your credit card, please also submit a copy of that policy. This ensures that in the case of an emergency, we can assist you to the best of our abilities.

    For Day Trips:

While we do not require all participants to have valid medical insurance when traveling on our day trips, it is strongly recommended that you always have travel insurance. Accidents are very rare, but we are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damage to you or your belongings.

If you don't have an insurance and you don't know which one to get, take a look to our recommended option Dive Assure.

  • In the event that any equipment or items provided by our team (such as masks, snorkels, weights, belts, suits, etc.) are lost or damaged during the course of the client's use, we reserve the right to charge the client for the replacement cost of the lost or damaged items.

This replacement cost will include the retail value of the item, shipping fees, and an additional 20% charge to cover the inconvenience caused.

PLEASE NOTE: We operate in a remote location where sourcing new equipment can be challenging and costly. Therefore, it is essential for clients to take proper care of the provided equipment to avoid any additional charges.
