Are you ready to join an established wildlife expedition company known for its world-class ethical encounters? We’re not looking for someone who wants to learn — we’re looking for someone who already knows how to manage and grow a brand through powerful, story-driven content.

We need a Social Media Marketing person or team (with experience across content creation, email marketing, blogging, and strategy) who can take full ownership of our digital presence and turn our expeditions into experiences people can’t resist joining. The role is divided into four tiers of responsibility, starting with hands-on editing and extending into full-scale marketing management.

We’re expanding quickly and looking for someone with real-world experience — someone who understands strategy, storytelling, and what it takes to grow an engaged audience that converts into bookings.

About the Role

This role blends creativity, strategy, and precision. You’ll work with stunning wildlife footage, dig through hours of raw material to find the moments that matter, and transform them into world-class content that drives both engagement and sales. You’ll also manage audience interaction, run email campaigns, and publish SEO-driven blogs that position our brand as a leader in ethical wildlife expeditions.

Responsibilities

Tier 1: Content Creation & Scheduling (Main Focus)

  • Independently review and curate our growing library of raw footage — we continually upload new material during and after expeditions and day trips, and you’ll be responsible for sifting through it to identify the most exciting, high-impact moments.

  • Edit and deliver a minimum of 4 posts per week (mix of reels and carousels with carefully selected music) across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Create story-driven Instagram and TikTok stories every 1–2 days, designed to excite viewers and convert curiosity into bookings.

  • Plan content strategically around our expedition calendar to align with seasonal highlights and sales windows.

  • Maintain a long-term content plan that maximises anticipation and builds consistent momentum.

Tier 2: Social Management & Engagement

  • Manage community engagement — reply to messages and comments with professionalism and warmth.

  • Set up and maintain automated responses through tools like ManyChat to nurture leads.

  • Build relationships with past and potential guests to strengthen brand loyalty.

  • Influencer & High-Profile Engagement: Build and maintain genuine connections with major accounts to encourage shares and explore collaborations with established creators aligned to our brand.

Tier 3: Email Marketing

  • Design and send one main newsletter per month plus 2–3 ad-hoc campaigns for new offers, exciting sightings, or limited expeditions.

  • Write on-brand, conversion-driven copy that inspires action and maintains audience connection.

Tier 4: Blog & SEO

  • Write blogs that strengthen SEO, focusing on wildlife, ethical tourism, and behind-the-scenes expedition insights.

  • Optimise posts for search engines using keywords, formatting, and backlinks.

Ideal Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing professional social media accounts for travel, adventure, or lifestyle brands.

  • Video Editing Expertise – strong proficiency in editing software, storytelling, and underwater colour grading.

  • Content Selection Skills – ability to review hours of footage and identify captivating highlights.

  • Social Media Strategy – experience planning and executing campaigns tied to seasonal sales or product launches.

  • Copywriting Skills – sharp writing that feels human, not AI-generated; strong sense of tone and rhythm.

  • Attention to Detail – every post should be polished, visually balanced, and brand-consistent.

  • Wildlife Knowledge – familiarity with marine or adventure tourism is a strong plus.

What We’re Looking For

  • A professional portfolio: reels, carousels, stories, and emails/blogs you’ve created.

  • A style that blends cinematic beauty with authentic storytelling and humour.

    Think seamless transitions, natural pacing, and emotional connection.

  • Commitment to consistent, high-quality output.

  • The ability to sift through raw daily footage and find the golden moments — clips are not pre-selected for you.

Compensation

  • Tier 1: $800 USD/month (content creation & scheduling).

  • Each additional tier: +$100 USD/month.

  • Full-scope (all tiers): $1100 USD/month.

  • Remote-friendly: Flexible schedule as long as deliverables and deadlines are met. Must be responsive during Mexican business hours.

  • Perks (for local hires): Unlimited day trips and use of our gear (kayaks, snorkels, spearguns, etc.). Expedition participation subject to availability.
