We are seeking a Marketing Manager who can take charge of our digital presence and turn our incredible wildlife experiences into irresistible reasons for people to join our expeditions. The role is split into four tiers of responsibility, starting with hands-on content editing and expanding into full-scale marketing strategy and execution.

About the Role

This role will combine creativity, strategy, and organisation. You will be responsible for digging into our library of wildlife footage, selecting the most powerful and exciting moments, and transforming them into captivating content that drives bookings. You’ll also engage with our audience, run email campaigns, and create SEO-friendly blogs that boost visibility.

Responsibilities

Tier 1: Content Creation & Scheduling

  • Independently review and sift through our full library of raw footage to identify the most exciting, high-impact moments that will resonate with our audience.

  • Edit those moments into polished posts for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube (minimum 4 posts per week, mix of reels and carousels).

  • Develop visually appealing, story-driven Instagram and TikTok stories every 1–2 days, designed to excite viewers and make them want to join our expeditions.

  • Plan posts based on our expedition calendar, ensuring marketing aligns with upcoming trips and seasonal highlights (“hit when the iron is hot”).

  • Maintain a yearly marketing content schedule to maximise bookings and build anticipation.

Tier 2: Social Management & Engagement

  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages, engaging with our audience in a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful way.

  • Implement tools like ManyChat to set up automated responses and nurture potential customers.

  • Build rapport with past and potential guests to create lasting relationships.

  • Influencer & High-Profile Engagement – Build relationships with major accounts to encourage shares and explore collaborations with big names aligned to our brand.

Tier 3: Email Marketing

  • Create and send monthly email newsletters and additional ad-hoc campaigns for special offers, exciting sightings, or urgent trip updates.

  • Write engaging, brand-aligned copy that inspires bookings and keeps our audience connected.

Tier 4: Blog & SEO

  • Write regular blogs to boost SEO, focusing on wildlife, conservation, ethical tourism, and insider expedition tips.

  • Optimise blog content with keywords, formatting, and links to improve search rankings and website traffic.

Ideal Skills & Experience

  • Video Editing Expertise – Proficiency with editing software, colour grading (especially underwater), and storytelling through visuals.

  • Content Selection Skills – Ability to quickly scan through large amounts of raw footage and spot the key moments that will capture attention.

  • Social Media Savvy – Proven ability to grow and manage accounts, especially Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Copywriting Skills – Ability to write captivating captions, blog articles, and email campaigns that align with our tone.

  • Marketing Strategy – Experience planning content around seasonal opportunities, events, and business goals.

  • Attention to Detail – Every post should be polished, visually appealing, and consistent with our brand.

  • Wildlife Knowledge – A passion for wildlife, the ocean, and ethical travel is a big plus.

What We’re Looking For

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, consistent content.

  • A willingness and ability to dig through footage to find the golden moments—we will not be pre-selecting clips for you - raw videos are uploaded after tours each day.

Compensation

Starting salary:

  • Tier 1: $500 USD/month

  • Each additional tier: +$100 USD/month

  • Total starting: $800 USD/month, with potential increases based on performance.

  • Remote-friendly: Flexible hours as long as deadlines are met (we upload footage to the cloud).

  • Perks: Unlimited day trips and access to gear (kayak, snorkel, speargun, etc.) if based nearby. Expedition spots available subject to space.
